This day next week we will get to spend a day together! We will sing together, eat together and make a video clip together. We can’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday other than sending a united sign of tolerance and respect to the world! Thank you for being a part of this.
We have made a rough schedule for the day but because over 200 people are involved, there will always be an element of surprise….
On arrival at the Schlosshof all singers will gather to register for the event. You will be asked to sign a form which allows us to use all the film material gathered (camera and drone) on that day in order to make a ‘making of’ video clip of the event and a ‘music video’ clip.
We will begin rehearsals in the Schüür at 10am sharp. You will be given copies of the lyrics and/or sheet music and we will begin to sing!!! The entire rehearsal will be recorded and filmed. We hope to have a final recording of the Choir by 12am. Sounds fast, doesn’t it? But the song is easy and there are very little lyrics to be learned. (We can’t wait to hear 200 voices sing together!!)
Because the weather will be beautiful, we are planning to eat lunch together in the Schlosshof (if it’s not, then in the Schüür). Lunch is risotto, salads and bread. Lunch will also be filmed.
The video shoot for the ‘music video clip’ will begin just after lunch (ca. 2.00pm) and take until 16:30. We have a wonderful film director, Liberato Maraia, on board. He will guide us through the afternoon. We will all perform the song outside with the original band, string quartet and flute player. You are welcome to invite your friends, family, children, grandparents, people you haven’t seen in years and the neighbour you don’t like, to join the party in the afternoon and hear what we have created. Maybe they will even sing along.
We are truly looking forward to meeting and connecting with every single one of you!
